Now This is Just Ridiculous

Lee Phillips
December 28th, 2016

Too many people are commenting about the occasionally huge size of Amazon’s shipping boxes for me to feel any urgency about adding my own observations. And they generally do a reasonable packing job. Also, I’m inclined to cut them some slack, since they are so good at what they do.

But when I received my order of an item roughly the size of a chapstick in a container a bit larger than a shoebox, I had to vent. The extra space was taken up by a huge wad of brown paper rather than the increasingly predominant plastic baloons. Up to now I’ve received such items in small padded envelopes, but something clearly went wrong here. At least one can put the boxes to good use.

Roomy enough in there for you?
