I've been using RevTex, a package built on top of LaTeX that is used by
some physics journals. It has some very useful extensions to the more
familiar article class, even if you're not writing physics papers.
Here is a snapshot of my template set, that acts on a set of notes placed
in an outline to represent the section structure of the paper. I use a few
user attributes - see the ^gets.
