If you are, then I'm missing it too.
Its not just printing maps where Tb looks like it doesn't make use of "free=
ly" available OS X "services" (not to be confused with=E2=80=A6 you know). =
There's some funny stuff with placing images in notes, the quartz text stil=
l isn't 100% right and there is some odd stuff happening with Window redraw=
ing too. Nothing dreadful (and for me, worth "suffering" in light of the my=
riad of pluses), but it all starts to add up to a less than complete OS X f=
it and finish for the user [1].

Perhaps Tb is using custom code here ? Maybe either legacy code from OS <X =
or "cross platform" code in prep for WinTb ?

mark.
[1] BTW, its got nothing (per se) to do with Tb being Carbon. Think otherwi=
se ? Then take a look at apps from Bare Bones (esp. BBEdit 8) or something =
like Intaglio or iView MediaPro and you'll see that ALL the quartz bells an=
d whistles and a lot of stuff that is often (sneakily) sold as "Cocoa-only"=
is available in carbon apps. It might be mighty hard to implement (I've no=
idea), but it can be done.
