If Tinderbox had AppleScript support it would be possible to make a script that handled an ad hoc URL that processed a few parameters and told Tinderbox to open the note referred to in the URL. Then we could have internal links, but we would still see the link markup, of course. This would work identically both within Tinderbox and in external viewers, using the "Open URL" service.
